Fremantle Rail Bridge, Perth, WA

Updated: Feb 3, 2023

One of our largest MicroNex systems has just been commissioned on the Fremantle Rail Bridge in Perth, Western Australia. The impressed current cathodic protection system provides corrosion protection to the bridge's reinforced concrete pile caps.

The system consists of 24 circuits installed in 6 cabinets along each pier of the bridge. The distributed system allowed for easy installation while minimising cabling costs back to a central cathodic protection cabinet. Each pier cabinet communicates to a land-based communication cabinet, providing 24/7 full system remote monitoring and control functionality.

The design and installation of the system was carried out by Marine and Civil Maintenance. Click here to view their full news article.
